Ray Diagrams.
A ray diagram is one of the most useful things to know when learning about reflection and refraction. It allows you to show that you understand the law of reflection and other things in an easy format. The ray diagram traces the path of the light in order to visually image the image. There are a few key points which you need to draw the best possible ray diagram.
Must haves:
Must haves:
- Incident ray draw with a pencil & ruler
- Incident ray shows direction arrow
- Reflected/Refracted ray drawn with pencil & ruler
- Normal drawn 90 degrees to the surface
- Normal shown as either a dotted line or clearly labeled
- Incident angle shown between ray and normal
- Reflected/Refracted angle shown between ray and normal.
We put all the theory's to the test, they all seemed to be quite accurate.
