HEAT ENERGY
What is heat energy?
Heat energy is all around us, it is the result of the movement of tiny particles called atoms, molecules or ions. It is transferred from one object to another because of the difference in temperature.
Example:
If an ice cube is placed in a glass of water, naturally the water is warmer so the water transfers some of its heat energy to the ice cube causing it to melt.
